Wildwoodroots is a non-profit site built by one parent in Piedmont, California to aggregate tools that help parents manage carpools, school events you host such as camping trips, School trips, etc. The original apps here started as a way to stop carrying a whole trip, a carpool rotation, or a roommate list in my head. You can also add Apps that you want to share with other parents in the community. The apps need to be free for core capabilities.

Why this exists
“I have three kids, a full-time job, and about ten minutes of quiet a day. Everything here exists because a spreadsheet and a group text stopped working.”
A non-profit home for the small, practical jobs school families actually run into: a camping trip that needs organizing, carpools for afterschool, roommates for the 8th grade trip. More will get added when a parent in the community needs one.
Built in the evenings, tested in the pickup line, and handed back to the community for free. No advertising, no selling anyone's information, and nothing locked behind a subscription — including the ones that come later.

These tools exist so the organizing takes less of the evening. What's left goes back where it belongs — volunteering in classrooms, on trip chaperone rosters, and at the school events that make the year. That trade is the reason the site exists.
